Collaborate & Partner
We believe the most meaningful change is built together. Whether you are an organisation, a researcher, a funder, or an individual, if our work resonates with yours, let's find a way to move forward in partnership.
Stronger Together
YIF operates at the intersection of community welfare, advocacy, research, and civic participation. We bring deep contextual knowledge of the communities we serve, a network of partners across Africa, and a commitment to doing work that is grounded, accountable, and impactful.
We are open to collaboration in many forms, from short-term project partnerships to long-term programmatic alliances. What matters most to us is shared values, mutual respect, and a genuine commitment to the people and communities at the centre of this work.
We are particularly interested in partnerships that strengthen our programmes, expand our reach, deepen our research, and help us sustain the work over the long term.
"The most meaningful change is built in partnership."
Types of Collaboration
We collaborate across a wide range of areas. Here are the kinds of partnerships we actively seek, though we're always open to conversations that don't fit neatly into a single category.
Research Partnerships
Joint research, data collection, knowledge production, and publication, particularly on issues affecting the communities we serve across Africa.
Programme Delivery
Co-designing or co-delivering field programmes, community outreach, welfare services, and capacity-building initiatives in Ghana and across the region.
Funding & Grants
We welcome conversations with funders, grant-makers, and institutional donors interested in supporting YIF's programmes, sustainability, or specific initiatives.
Advocacy & Campaigns
Strategic alliances on shared advocacy goals, from UN submissions and policy engagement to public campaigns and coalition-building across civil society.
Content & Communications
Storytelling, media partnerships, documentary work, content creation, and communications collaborations that amplify the voices and stories of our communities.
Capacity Building & Training
Partnerships focused on strengthening the skills, systems, and organisational capacity of YIF and the community organisations and individuals we support.
Who We Work With
We collaborate with a wide range of actors, from large institutions to individual practitioners. If you are committed to the values that underpin our work, we want to hear from you.
NGOs & Civil Society
Peer organisations, coalitions, and civil society networks working on human rights, welfare, and social justice across Africa and globally.
Academic Institutions
Universities, research centres, and independent researchers interested in collaborative study, data partnerships, or knowledge exchange.
Funders & Donors
Foundations, grant-making bodies, institutional donors, and individual philanthropists who want to support our programmes and long-term sustainability.
Government & Public Bodies
Government agencies, public institutions, and intergovernmental bodies engaged in policy development, civic participation, and rights-based governance.
Individual Creatives & Consultants
Artists, filmmakers, writers, photographers, designers, and independent consultants whose work aligns with our mission and can strengthen what we do.
Media & Communications
Journalists, media outlets, podcast producers, and communications agencies interested in covering or amplifying our work and the issues we engage with.
